Ultimate Digital Technologies LLC. (UDT), our Florida, USA based research and development Company’s team has been working on the dotToday Magazine System for the past two years. To understand our business model we start with the example of the dotcom (.com), the most popular and used top-level domain (TLD) name space on the Internet. There are approx. 100 million accounts (yourcompany.com) each/most domains are isolated websites, independently developed, maintained and continuously re-designed with different technical standards and sizes. Typically, „technology racing" characterizes the dotcom sector.
The most expressive dotcom examples, with enormous infrastructure, are the Social Media platforms, such as Facebook.com, YouTube.com, Flickr.com and Twitter.com. The success-formula of these sites is based on a standardized channel model for account holders (i.e. facebook.com/louisvuitton), offering specialized media types or activities, storage and sharing, based on different community models. WEB 2.0 technology used by Social Media has been the base for creating large Tech companies with multi-billion dollar market capitalization (i.e. Facebook ~116 billion USD).
Today, the greatest challenge for millions of dotcom account holders is to change their old-fashioned websites. Businesses, (mostly small and medium size) need to efficiently use the social media and start a new generation continuous-dynamic business publication (i.e. fresh news, events, special offers, product/services promotion etc.) to feed the digital content- and knowledge flow. Fortunately, the Internet Corporation called ICANN, as the main governing body of the Assigned Names and Numbers, recognized the limitation of the existing Internet and decided to open the domain name market, to create room for new logics, structures and innovation. This is the first time that private companies can obtain a separate top-level domain, i.e: .music, .paris, .africa, .today etc., which allows for custom pricing, distribution and business models to be implemented and to create new Brands on the web.
Having said all of the latter, UDT wants to register the dotToday top-level domain name - carefully chosen - because of its impact, meaning, marketability and acceptance. It is easy to attach to corporate brands, cities, regions, activities and communities (i.e: Paris.today, London.today, Europe.today, LuisVuitton.today, Heineken.today, Business.today, News.today etc.) The word "today" also implies actuality and continuity, used to express and connect to anything thinkable and is recognized in the entire world.
To ensure the fast and exponential market growth of our dotToday TLD, we want to introduce and implement our Online Magazine System technology solution. By attaching an Online (Mash-up) Magazine System as a business-media-platform to each domain, we are able to create a unique, new-generation, digital infrastructure.
